Enywork SARL · Since November 2017
A Congolese team building Congolese software.
We started as two people in an office in Gombe, with a fairly simple idea: the institutions of this country do not need solutions imported for them, they need them built with them. Nine years later there are twelve of us, and we have not changed our minds.
Our story
Nine years digitising what nobody wanted to touch.
Enywork SARL is founded
Registered with the Kinshasa trade register. The business starts with custom development for public institutions and education providers.
First university equipped
To be filled in: which institution, which year, what scope.
OptSolution launches
The academic management platform becomes a product: configurable and deployable.
The Kinshasa infrastructure goes live
Enywork installs its own servers and stops depending on foreign hosting providers.
OpSolver for APCSC
The agency's attendance system is digitised, with a measured 45% productivity gain.
21 organisations served
18 universities and 3 public institutions, more than 350,000 students managed.

Our cities
A word from the founder
In 2017 I went round the universities with a laptop and a demo that crashed one time in three. People politely told me that digitising would be for later.
What changed things was not technology. It was the day we stopped arriving with a solution and started arriving with questions. How do you actually run an examination board? What happens when a student disputes a grade? Who copies out the minutes, and how long does it take?
Our best features all came out of those conversations. Nobody ever asked for OptSolution's offline mode in a brief: it was born of an examination board cut short by an internet outage, one evening in Kinshasa.
We are not the largest software company in the country, and we are not trying to be. We want to be the one people call back three years later, because what we delivered still works.
Our values
Four words we hold ourselves to.
A value on a wall that commits you to nothing is not worth putting on a wall. Here is what each one costs us in practice.
Excellence
Every release goes through code review by a second developer. No exceptions, not even under pressure.
Simplicity
If a member of staff needs three days of training to enter a grade, it is our interface that failed, not them.
Persistence
We stay until the first examination board has run successfully. A delivered project is not a finished project.
Invention
OptSolution's offline mode exists in no imported product. It was born of a Congolese constraint.
Our team
Twelve people, five teams, one office.
We fit in one meeting room. That is our limit, and it is also why nobody here builds a feature without knowing who it is for.

We are hiring
Build software that matters, from Kinshasa.
Our platforms serve hundreds of thousands of students. If that responsibility interests you more than it frightens you, write to us.
