Biometric hardware and video surveillance

The hardware, the installation and the software connection — from one team.

The problem

What we see most often.

The hardware is there, the software cannot see it

Terminals bought from one reseller, software from another. Each blames the other, and nobody clocks in.

Nobody knows a terminal is down

The device stopped responding three weeks ago. You find out at payroll close, when the hours are missing — and by then they cannot be reconstructed.

Every change means a site visit

Adding a member of staff, changing a shift, collecting the logs: each time, someone has to travel. Across several buildings, maintenance costs more than the hardware.

Our answer

The hardware, the installation and the software connection — from one team.

Buying a clocking terminal is easy. Making it work with your payroll software, wiring it into an old building, and knowing it has stopped responding before month-end finds out — that is where these projects fail.

We supply the hardware, install it, configure it, and connect it to the platform that uses it. Then we supervise it remotely: when a terminal goes quiet, we know before you do.

We work with ZKTeco for attendance and access control, Hikvision for video surveillance. Two brands we know well, rather than ten we would know badly.

Deliverables

  • Site study: number of access points, peak-hour flow, state of the network and power supply
  • Supply of ZKTeco terminals and Hikvision cameras, under manufacturer warranty
  • Mounting, cabling and electrical connection, including a UPS where power is unstable
  • Configuration and initial staff enrolment on site
  • Connection to OPTime, to OpSolver or to your existing software
  • Remote fleet supervision and alerts when a terminal goes silent
  • Training for the staff who will enrol new arrivals

How it runs

Step by step.

STEP 01

Site visit

We come and look at the doors, the corridors and the electrical panel. A floor plan never tells you where the wall is too thick to run a cable.

1 day
STEP 02

Sizing and quote

Number of terminals, positions, and the biometric mode suited to each post. A dusty workshop cannot clock in by fingerprint: it will be face or badge.

3 to 5 days
STEP 03

Installation

Mounting, cabling, configuration and enrolment of the first staff. We stay until the first real clock-in has gone through.

1 to 5 days depending on sites
STEP 04

Supervision

The fleet reports into the platform. We watch for silent terminals and step in before the month closes.

Ongoing

Our commitment

We do not publish prices. We publish a process.

Every project is different: an honest quote means having understood the need first. Here is what you can count on when you write to us.

The first conversation is free

Scoping, analysing your need and writing the proposal cost you nothing. We start charging when we start producing.

An answer within 48 working hours

Written by someone on the team, not by a robot. And if your request falls outside what we do well, we would rather tell you straight away.

A readable quote within 5 days

Line by line, with the estimated time next to each item. You will know what you are paying for, and why it costs that.

The quote is the price

The signed figure is the invoiced figure. If the scope changes along the way — it often does — we price it and you decide before anything is built.

Frequently asked

What people ask us most.

Do you sell hardware on its own, without software?

Yes. Many organisations already have payroll software they do not want to replace. We supply and install the terminals, and connect them to what you already use.

Why ZKTeco and Hikvision rather than other brands?

Because we have deployed them for years, spare parts can be found in Kinshasa, and we know what breaks first. We would rather master two brands than list twenty.

What happens during a power cut?

Terminals hold clock-ins in local memory and upload them when the network returns. We recommend one UPS per access point, quoted separately.

Do you work outside Kinshasa?

Yes. Travel and accommodation appear as a separate line, never buried in the hardware price.

What warranty covers the hardware?

The manufacturer warranty, which we handle for you. If a unit fails within that period, we cover the replacement and reconfiguration without charging for the visit.

Is video surveillance tied to attendance?

Not necessarily. Some clients want cameras only, others attendance only. When both are installed, they can share the same network and the same supervision.
